Lenny has been in training through the Stable to Stirrup programme for retraining and rehoming off the track standardbreds as ridden horses.
Lenny is a nice natured wee horse, and he is ready to find his new home!
Stands quietly for mounting/dismounting at the mounting block. Lenny has walk, trot and canter achieved under saddle. Walk and trot are established and over the next couple of weeks we will continue his canter training.
Lenny has done arena work focusing on flatwork, poles, and has tried a very small jump. He can be a little lazy in the arena but when he gets going, he shows great potential as a show pony or pony club mount for a confident rider.
Lenny has been hacked out on road rides, hacks out confidently when in company. He can get a bit worried about hacking out alone, but he recently went out on his own and was very good. We will continue to take him out for road rides until rehomed.
Lenny is quiet and easy to have around. He can be dominant in the paddock with other geldings but is generally a nice wee horse.
Easy to handle, stands quietly while tied either alone or in company, is good to worm and for the farrier and dentist.
Dental, farrier, and worming are all up to date.
